Wavves is an American indie rock/noise-pop band formed in 2008 in San Diego by Nathan Williams, initially gaining fame as a lo-fi bedroom recording project. Blending surf rock, punk attitude, and fuzzy grunge guitars, the band broke out with albums "Wavvves" (2009) and the critically acclaimed "King of the Beach" (2010), featuring hits like "Post Acid".
