Two strangers, Martin and Petra, meet in a lift. They discover two things: they have each lost a loved one, and the lift is broken.

Singer’s voice speaks through the intercom, and seems to have the answers to both problems. Those loved ones are not dead, but in outer space. The lift is not a lift at all, but a rocket. And Singer can send it, with Martin and Petra inside, to reach them.

People Looking Up is a form-forward play about love and space. Why do we ask for space? Why do we want to go there? Is it something we look up at, or something we already live in?

How To Get Your Tickets
